NewsAgent ("we," "us," "NewsAgent") is operated by ClarkApps. This policy explains what information we collect when you use NewsAgent, how we use it, and who we share it with.
Information We Collect
- Account information: When you register, we collect your name and email address.
- Topics and stories: The topics you request and the news stories NewsAgent generates for them (text, sources, and the main image), so the app can show you the result, email it to you, and let you reopen it from its link. Anyone who has the link to a story can view it.
- Scheduled requests: For a story you schedule, the topic, the time, and your name and email, so it can be run and emailed to you later.
- Usage: A running balance of the AI tokens you've used.
- Cookies: We use cookies to keep you signed in and recognize your account across visits.
How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account and keep you signed in.
- To report and write your requested stories, including sending your topic to Google's Gemini API (with Google Search grounding) to generate the story.
- To email you your finished stories, and to email a story to someone else when you choose to share it.
- To verify you're not a bot during registration (via Cloudflare Turnstile).
Third Parties We Share Data With
- Google (Gemini API): The topic you enter is sent to Google's Gemini API, including its Google Search grounding tool, to research and write the story and to find or generate the main image.
- Web image search: To look for a real photograph, a search query based on your topic is sent to a public web image search.
- Email delivery provider: Your email address and the story are passed to our email provider so it can deliver your story, or a story you share, to its recipient. If you share a story, the recipient's address is used only to send that email.
- Cloudflare (Turnstile): Used during registration to verify you're a real person, not a bot.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time using the contact information below.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or ask questions about this policy, by emailing clark@clarkapps.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
